"I went to camp expecting to make friends, but I ended up with a family." Hi! I grew up part of a church group that shaped much of who I am today (sending love to Kito Vua♥) and some of my fondest memories are from the camping trips that we went on every year. That's why I am so excited to be a part of Unicamp this year! UCLA Unicamp is a nonprofit organization that connects student volunteers from UCLA with over 1,200 children from urban LA. Unicamp helps these kids by sending them along with the 450 student volunteers to an outdoor summer camp, with my session focusing on Life Skills and Leadership Development. However, it costs about $650 to send one camper to camp. We try to alleviate those costs by fundraising for scholarships. By donating, YOU are the scholarship, and you, personally, are helping to send these underprivileged children to camp. My personal goal is to raise $500, and every little bit helps.
