A Message From Life Skills & Leadership Development (PGLA & DTSLA)
We are a session focused on developing life skills and leadership for both our student volunteers and campers. UCLA Unicamp’s mission is to serve urban youth of the Los Angeles area by providing a residential summer camp experience at Camp River Glen. In partnership with Project Grad Los Angeles (PGLA) & Determined to Succeed Los Angeles, we hope to empower our students by creating a safe space and using the principles of social/emotional learning, self awareness, and communication. At the end of our run together, our hope is to provide tools necessary to navigate successfully through college and beyond.
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
