A Message From Gloria Bahena
Hey there! My name is Gloria "Rocket" Bahena and I volunteer with UCLA Unicamp as one of this year's WALL counselors! We work with kids from the greater LA area to send them up the mountain for little to no cost to allow them to grow independently while enjoying all that it means to be a kid. Personally, I have always felt that working with kids is a great privilege as you get to watch them grow into the person they were meant to be. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
