A Message From Alejandro Juarez-Ugalde
My name is Alejandro and I am one of this year's UCLA UniCamp Camp Counselors. UniCamp is a summer camp put on by volunteer UCLA students. Every year we take hundreds of inner city underserved kids who have never been camping before to camp in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains for 5 awesome days . It costs about $800 to take a child to camp, but we as volunteers subsidize the cost through fundraising like this, so children from low income families pay a quarter of the cost. Any amount you are willing to donate can make it the best summer for them. Thank you and I appreciate the love and support! Please help me in sharing or reposting this awesome cause (: .
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
