A Message From Jessica De Anda
I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with the warmest bunch of UCLA students to make UniCamp’s UniZone session enjoyable and memorable for all campers! UniZone aims to create a safe and nurturing space for youth who have lost a loved one by enabling them to interact with those who are also grieving. As a future counselor for the youngest children in this session, I hope to foster a playful environment where my campers can take the time to simply be kids. I hope that the supportive community and comfortable atmosphere up the mountain will strengthen their journey to healing.
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
