A Message From Alex Wu

Unicamp is an organization that sends youth from under-served areas of Los Angeles to a week in camp, where they get to have unadulterated fun, learn about themselves and the world around them, and develop interpersonal skills that can help them in the future. My session, AcademiCamp, is partnering up with Horace Mann Middle School to bring over 100 kids away from often difficult environments to a place where they can truly be kids for a week. Part of my job as a volunteer is to fundraise $500 to help cover the costs of sending a kid to camp, so any donations are greatly appreciated! thanks :)

UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
