A Message From Blossom Woodsey <3
Hello everyone! My name is Violet Salazar (aka Blossom) and I am a senior at UCLA. This year, I joined UniCamp, specifically the session UniZone focusing on childhood grief. Through this session, I will spend a week at camp with children from underserved communities who have lost a sibling or a parent. The goal of this session is to connect these children to others who have gone through a similar experience and to comfort them in their grief. I truly believe that this week of camp will have a profound positive impact in the lives of these children as they continue with their lives and learn to live with grief. This session is extremely meaningful to me because I lost my two brothers and I really couldn’t think of a better way to end my UCLA career. As a counselor, we are expected to raise $450 to subsidize the cost of camp for the children. I thank you in advance for helping me reach my goal!
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
