A Message From Daniela Cervantes
Hi guys! So, I started this funding page because I recently joined an organization by the name of UCLA Unicamp and will be a counselor/volunteer/lifeguard this coming summer. Unicamp is a summer camp that sends kids from roughly grades 6-10th to a campsite near Big Bear Lake for a week to learn, participate in activities, make friends and more importantly have fun! Since this is a non-profit organization we do need to do the majority of the funding ourselves to help these kids go to camp because a lot of them are from low-income areas in the LA County. This camp means so much to me because I was in this camp program for a long time and I know first hand the type of impact it had on me growing up. Anything helps and if you have any questions you can always ask. For those of you who do want to dontate, this donation IS tax deductible.
Our session focuses on providing foster care youth with enriching outdoor adventures and invaluable mentorship, giving them opportunities to develop leadership skills and prepare for life after foster care.
Thank you for taking the time to read and learn about this amazing camp program that made me the person I am today. Please watch the video I have linked for more information.
Love,
Danny
