A Message From Sydney Young
Hello Family and Friends!
This year, I am deepening my involvement in the UniCamp program by being a C.L.I.M.B advisor. This group seeks to teach children from underprivileged communities the 5 basic principles of climbing (including climbing, belaying, bouldering, slacklining and rappelling). We do this not only to give these kids an opportunity to experience climbing but also so that they can challenge themselves, find a community of support and take on the responsibility of literally holding someone else's life in their hands. We hope that these experiences will enable them to become more well-rounded and confident individuals.

In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
