Hello Everyone! Thank you for checking out my fundraising page! This is my 4th year with UCLA UniCamp and very likely my last year. UniCamp has been a huge part of my college career and I couldn't imagine college without it. I joined UniCamp as a freshman with no expectations or real understandings of this organization. Over the past 4 years, I have come to learn the meaning of giving, friendship, teaching, and learning. This organization is focused on giving a week-long camp experience to the underserved youth of Los Angeles. However those are just buzzwords. What this organization is truly able to accomplish is to bring over 1000 kids up to camp every summer at a very reduced cost. We are able to give kids an experience in nature, teach them leadership skills, and introduce them to something different from the city. This year I am lucky enough to be a Camp Director for a session of UniCamp. My session will be focused on a College Readiness and Retention initiative and we will be working closely with a non-profit called Project Grad. Our aim is to give students an opportunity to learn about the intricacies of college as well as give them the tools to complete college.
