- Session 1 (College Readiness & Retention)
A Message From Session 1 (College Readiness & Retention)
Applying, attending, and graduating college is always a difficult process. Many, despite being accepted to college, will drop out because they do not have the skills necessary to excel in this new environment. UCLA UniCamp, in partnership with Project GRAD, will host a week of camp that focuses on college readiness. Our campers will get the opportunity to spend a week of camp surrounded by UCLA student and alumni volunteers and will learn about the many aspects of college life. Our aim is for campers to come back with tangible academic, social, and emotional learning skills needed to get into college, to graduate, and to excel along the way.

UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
