A Message From Cristina Rosales
Hi!!
It's my fourth year at UCLA, and I've decided to participate in an organization that I love for the fourth time: UCLA UniCamp! It is UCLA's official student charity, and it gives kids from underserved communities the opportunity to have an unforgettable and amazing summer camp experience.
This year I am participating in Unicamp as a WALL Program Director. This means that I look after the WALL Program, making sure my advisors have trained properly to take a group of high school students on a 4-day 3-night backpacking trip with the goal of reaching Sugar Loaf's summit (the tallest peak in the Big Bear Area).
My fundraising goal this year is $2,000. This money goes to sponsoring each kid that goes on the trip and covers transportation costs and equipment costs, among others.
I am extremely excited for this opportunity!!
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
