A Message From Devan Davis

Without your help, underprivileged African American youth will not have the oppurtnity gain the tools to navigate, and be successful in the world around them. The Village Nationin partnership with UCLA Unicamp and I are on a mission to ensure the success of African American youth. UCLA Unicamp is the official charity of UCLA, serving LA youth since 1928 UniCamp has served over 60,000 youth and over 10,000 volunteers over the past 80 years. The Village Nation through the exposure to history and cultural awareness mentor children to become well rounded individuals prepared to succeed in college, their careers, as well as pillars of their communities. I' am trying to reach a goal of $500 to provide food, shelter, and supplies for activities for 7 days for these children to particpate in programs to shape them into well rounded individuals. I'm really passionate about this camp, because without them I wouldn't have had the opportunity to go to camp when I was a child.

UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
