A Message From Andrea Castaneda
Hey Hey! First, thank you for giving my page a look! Let me explain UniCamp in a simple way; UCLA UniCamp is an independently funded non-profit that connects UCLA with the community. Each year, UCLA UniCamp inspires over 1,200 children from urban communities to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 450 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp. This is my 4th year in camp! This org has given me so much. Lets name a few; some of my closet friends, person growth, leadership skills, education and career connections. This year I am not only the vice chair but also a corps advisor! Unicorps is an older camper program that works with ages 14-17. Together we help keep camp running throughout a week of camp. We learn the value of assisting our communities and how to become the leaders of our communities. In order to make all this come to life we ask for donations (that are tax tax deductible)! These donations help us reach the communities around LA and send campers for a less coast, so families don't carry the financial barrier and can just focus on a good week of camp! Donations go to things like; food, housing, transportation, materials, and much more! Thank you for all and any support!
With all the love,
Andrea "Disney"
