A Message From Tink Woodsey
Hello Everyone! My name is Tink and I am so lucky to be able to say that I am a part of Unicamp's leadership team this year! As one of the leaders of Unicamp for the upcoming 2017 summer, I am currently in the works of developing a brand new week of camp.
The session my team and I are in the process of creating aims to welcome campers who have experienced hardships early in life (whether it be from the loss of a parent, childhood abuse, or being without a stable home), into the Unicamp family. Our week of camp is meant to be a safe haven where campers can build a community made up of peers with relatable experiences and counselors as mentors. Through understanding, support, and opportunity to freely express their thoughts and feelings, our campers can develop coping skills that enhance their lives and empower them with the ability to overcome life's challenges.
This is an initiative that is very near and dear to my heart, and I know that it will be to a lot of campers as well. I'm really excited to make this happen, but I need all of your help to do so! If you can donate a bit of your time and money to this cause, I would truly appreciate it! Grief is an emotion that is not often addressed in our lives, and I hope that, through this session, that can start to change. Thank you so much in advance for all you support! :D
