A Message From Jennie Valenzo

As a past camper, I understand what it's like to feel lost but found through UniCamp. Being away from the city and into the woods for a week I went from being Jennie to Coachella, by being Coachella I was whoever I wanted to be and got out of my comfort zone. I have grown through UniCamp, last summer I got to see my very own campers grow within our week together; the friendships made through UniCamp last a lifetime. When doing UniCorps, as a camper, I was given the chance to better myself and my counselors were there to support me through it all and to this day. Being a teenager is awkward and UniCamp makes you feel like you're not alone.

UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
