A Message From Sam "Baymax" Duong-Brett
Hi everyone! My name is Sam, more commonly known among Woodsies as Baymax! I am fundraising in order to help reduce the cost for youth in the Los Angeles area to attend a week-long summer camp, called UCLA UniCamp. UCLA UniCamp, which was founded in 1934, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that sends 1200+ underserved and marginalized youth from Los Angeles to a week-long summer camp, where they develop leadership skills, develop a love for nature, and overall help promote a bright future.
After attending science camp in 6th grade, being a camp counselor has always been on my bucket list. My camp counselor changed my life and I am so grateful for the opportunity to get to touch the lives of children in the Los Angeles area. However, funding this camp can't happen without the help of your donations. No matter how big or small, any contribution can help fund camp for all the little Woodsies out there!
You can either donate through this page or Venmo me @samduongbrett. I am so so thankful for any contribution. Thank you for your help in making this summer magical
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
