A Message From Yareni Lopez
Going camping is an adventure where we ourselves get to explore the world around us! Many children are unable to experience a camping trip due to various reasons, the main one being financial costs. UCLA UniCamp is providing those children voices and empowering them to reach for the stars. Numerous UCLA community members have gathered to aim towards giving around 800 children a memorable camping experience! Please help our group establish $250 so that we can verify all children will have everything they need to go camping. Three of the vital goals of UCLA UniCamp is to inspire children to have a growth mindset, be community leaders, and help them to become aware of their greatest potential.
Children are deserving of so much and if we are able to help them create wonderful summer memories that will last a lifetime, then we will honorably do what we can. Every single child is capable of amazing things, we ourselves must help them become aware of that. During UCLA UniCamp, all campers will have the chance to make friends, participate in daily activities, and expand their knowledge on various topics! As UCLA staff, students, and community members, we will wholeheartedly make every single camper feel safe, welcomed, and special. Thank you in advance for your kind and joyous contributions!
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
