A Message From Marissa Loscos
Hi friends & family, I hope you are all well! I am currently fundraising for two clubs I recently joined at UCLA. UniCamp was the second club I joined, which is also a volunteer-based organization. I am really excited for my future at UniCamp since it brings together two of my favorite things, volunteering, and camping. Growing up I have always taken annual camping trips with my family, and always wanted to continue that in my future, but aside from that I was a part of Girl Scouts for 11 years, and camping trips were one of the main reasons I stuck with it. I would love the feeling of going to camp, getting to know people in the form of camp songs and games, being able to form bonds through team building and leadership activities, all the arts and crafts we would have fun with, and most importantly, the lasting memories I have made. UniCamp reminds me of just that, except this time is a week-long camp trip in the summer at Camp Glenn, where we volunteer to lead the camp for underserved kids in our community. I am so happy and grateful to be a part of this amazing opportunity, and cannot wait to meet all of the amazing kids at camp. In order to send these kids and ourselves to camp, the entire organization volunteers so we can work together in subsidizing the cost for campers. I would really appreciate it if you would consider donating so that I can be able to give these kids and myself the amazing memories that come from camp. My fundraising goal for this club is $450, so I would appreciate any amount (no amount is too small!), thank you for your time! (:

In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
