A Message From Jamie Griffith
I'm a Climate Science and Data Theory double major hoping to make a difference at Unicamp! Some of my favorite volunteering I've done has been with kids. For example, I served as a docent for an open space preserve, doing tours for groups of 4th graders. I also was a counselor a weeklong camp experience similar to Unicamp in my hometown with the local 6th graders. It's so pure and joyful getting to show kids a taste of nature, and what some of the amazing things we can find out there look like. I'm bringing that same enthusiasm to Unicamp as we channel the Woodsey magic!

UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
