A Message From Becky Almeter

Hi guys! My name is Becky (and my camp name is HI-CHEW :) ) and I'm going to be a counselor for UniCamp this summer. UniCamp is UCLA's official student charity, and we take kids from underserved Los Angeles communities up to the mountains for a week of fun. Most of these kids have never been to the great outdoors before, so it will be an entirely new learning and growth experience. It costs about $550 to take a child to summer camp, but through fundraising, we're able to subsidize the cost so that low-income families pay only about $75. Any amount you are willing to donate will help out, thanks so much!

UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
