A Message From Jessica Rivera
Hi everyone! My name is Jessica Rivera and I am a first-year student at UCLA. I am very passionate about working with children and hope to inspire them to be leaders of their communities. I am a member of UCLA Unicamp. This nonprofit organization is the official charity of the students of UCLA. It’s been around for over 80 years. UCLA Unicamp gives children from underserved communities a week of summer camp focusing on leadership, teamwork, and service-learning. I am a part of summer Session 2: The Village Session. This session aims to empower Black American youth to achieve their full potential by providing them with guidance from elders, resources for success, and immersing them in African culture. Our goal is to provide campers with the tools to be accepting and become the leaders of the next generation. Since the kids are from low-income families, we must fundraise in order to subsidize the cost to make sure financial barriers do not prevent them from attending. Any amount you are willing to donate, no matter how small, can really help make the best summer for them. Thank you so much for your contribution and support, stay safe
