A Message From Vincent Wong
Hey Supporters!
My name is Vincent Wong, and I'm volunteering to become a Unicamp camp counselor for underprivileged high school kids in the LA area. Throughout the course of this program, underprivileged kids will be able to build upon many life skills such as leadership, communication, and teamwork over the summer, while, at the same time, having fun and meeting other peers and friends. It's a great opportunity for these kids to start building their character early on.
For me, being a camp counselor gives me the opportunity to impart what I've learned to the kids, especially on the aspect of becoming college ready. Based on my mistakes, achievements, and prior experience dealing with colleges, I believe i can really teach high schoolers something that will be important to their future as college students. Watching these high schoolers evolve is something I enjoy seeing because it's always nice to watch kids grow and become better, especially while I am partly helping them.
However, sending one of these underprivileged high schooler kids isn't free. They only have to pay about 100 dollars while in reality, it takes much more. Therefore, volunteers like myself fundraise the difference! It would mean so much if you guys could donate to help the cause of high schoolers becoming better learners and college-ready students. Any donation amount is appreciated! Thank you in advance!

In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
