A Message From Stephanie Orpilla
Hi friends,
I'm so excited to be volunteering with UniCamp this summer! UniCamp is the official student charity of the UCLA. Every year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,200 children from low-income families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 450 UCLA student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
I'm part of Session 7, Outdoor Science Opportunities. This session is dedicated to outdoor environmental education, awareness and sustainability. I'll be doing hands-on experiments with the kids to get them excited about topics like forest ecosystems, wildlife ecology, sustainability, and accountability for the earth. The goal is to educate and inspire campers so that they appreciate nature, want to keep learning about environmental science, and eventually become leaders in environmental innovation and sustainability.
My goal is to raise $480 to send a kid to camp. Thank you so much for your support!
