A Message From Session 2! The Village Session: Minecraft Edition
The Village Session: Minecraft Edition is focused on creating community consciousness and self-awareness for all of our campers. This week of camp strives to bring students from diverse backgrounds together and welcome them to a safe and creative space to explore their identities and the endless possibilities that camp has to offer. The idea of “each one teach one” ensures that the community progresses in leadership, education, and unity, together. By teaching our campers the resources to succeed, our mission is to teach, challenge, and broaden the camper’s definition of leadership. In addition, our mission is to give campers the tools to improve communication, self-awareness, and leadership skills to overcome physical and emotional obstacles. These resources and tools can also help campers in real-life situations outside the campsite.
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
