A Message From Session 5 (AcademiCamp/Literacy)
UCLA UniCamp is entering its third summer of AcademiCamp, a five-week summer program intended to improve learning retention rates and enhance student literacy. Through a partnership with the UCLA Community School, AcademiCamp campers participate in four weeks of "traditional" in-classroom instruction. The fifth week of curriculum is combined with outdoor camp programming and takes place at Camp River Glen. Campers are able to seamlessly transition their learning into a camp environment and camper literacy is supplemented through volunteer-run activities, all while taking advantage of the great outdoors.

In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
