A Message From Leadership Development & Life Skills (Session 4)
In this session, we will organize a week of camp with a focus on Leadership Development and Life Skills. We strive to empower youth to achieve the confidence and leadership skills to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible individuals. We aim to develop leaders among younger campers as they prepare for college or future career paths.
By connecting with UCLA student volunteers, campers are provided with mentors who will encourage them to start thinking about a higher education. Seminars and activities will give campers a chance to practice self-awareness, interpersonal skills, and asking for help. UCLA student volunteers will engage campers and provide them with the motivation, experience, and safe environment necessary for them to grow into tomorrow's leaders. Learning leadership development and life skills will prepare campers for personal growth in future endeavors. Together, we want to ignite the potential of our campers and the community.
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
