A Message From Abigail Vidrio

HI!!! I am super excited to be a UCLA UniCamp Student Volunteer this summer! UniCamp is a non-profit which serves to send under-served youth to camp over the summer. In my personal life, camping has played a big role as it is a place where I can relax, and be myself. I am excited to be a part of Social Justice & Responsibility session of UniCamp where I will be working with high school aged youth from the San Fernando Valley! At camp, we will be encouraging these students achieve higher education & helping them develop through social-emotional learning, leadership development, and communication skill to help them succeed in achieving their goals. In order to help cover camp expenses, I am responsible for fundraising $450! Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated as you are helping a camper have an amazing time at camp! UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
