A Message From Jalapeno Woodsey

Hi friends, Jalapeno here again for the fourth year in a row - but this time as a Head Counselor! For the last three years I've served as a volunteer and role model for Los Angeles youth in underserved communities. Similar to my own home, although some of these communities lack academic and professional resources, the communities we serve hold an abundance of inspiration, hope, diversity, and love that could never be measured or replicated. In my new role as a head counselor, I will be training new volunteers to be better role models and better advocates for high school youth in the San Fernando Valley. I'm excited for this new opportunity and am grateful for your support!

UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
