A Message From Tigerlily Gutierrez
Hello friends! I am going by my camp name on this page in the spirit of our Woodsey traditions. So no worries, you're probably on the right page.
In partnership with Project GRAD Los Angeles, this session of camp will encourage high school-aged youth from the San Fernando Valley to achieve a higher education through developing social-emotional learning, leadership development, and communication skills. While these youth may have the ambition to attend college, they may not have the necessary tools and interpersonal skills to achieve their goals. Through the guidance of UCLA student volunteers, we hope to provide insight for these youth into the college experience, how to get there, and how to be successful.
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
