A Message From Rosa Larios
UCLA Unicamp takes kids from the greater Los Angeles to enjoy a full week in the woods. Most of these kids come from underserved communities and have gone through so many rough experiences where it is hard for them to be a kid. We want to give them an opportunity to enjoy themselves and be who they really are, all in the wilderness. Down in the city, they cannot see the stars or even enjoy how amazing nature is; and that is our goal. I am part of the WALL (Wilderness Adventures through Leadership and Learning). We take older campers on a 26 mile hike up to the tallest peak in southern California, Mt. San Gorgonio. On this hike, these teens learn to be themselves, to challenge themselves, to persevere, and to just have fun. With your help, more kids can go through this amazing experience. Any little bit helps! Thank you for taking the time to stop by my page and read a little about my program. Now help make a difference and click that little donate button on the right!

In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
