A Message From Harmony "KayKay" Xu
"What if I fall?
Oh but my darling, what if you fly?"
As some of you may already know, last year, I was a camp counselor for Unicamp, UCLA's official student charity that sends underprivileged youth from Los Angeles to camp for a week. I had the privilege to be a counselor to a group of seven amazing young ladies who described camp as one of the best weeks of their lives. The journey we embarked on as a unit in only one week resulted in tremendous personal growth for not only my seven girls, but for me as well. None of it could have happened without your contributions.
This year, I will be returning to Unicamp in a bigger role as a CLIMB counselor/advisor. CLIMB stands for "Core Lessons in Mind and Body". I will be teaching older campers the basic pillars of climbing to build mental and physical balance, while instilling in them a sense of self-confidence and enormous responsibility as they grow in learning to overcome their fears.
To subsidize the cost of sending the campers to camp, please consider making a donation to help fulfill a deserving youth's summer that could possibly have a huge impact on their life. Without your help, Unicamp and the CLIMB program would not be possible.
Much Woodsey Love,
Harmony aka "KayKay"

In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
