A Message From Ninja Woodsey
Hi everyone! It's that time of year when I stop being Matt Fernandez for a week and become Ninja Woodsey once again, maybe for the last time. That's right, after 12 years of volunteering with UCLA UniCamp, the years are catching up with me and this might a good time to take a step back. But then again, I've said that before, so who knows?
UniCamp is UCLA's official student charity. We host summer camps in the San Bernardino mountains for underserved youth in LA County. Kids have the chance to do archery, mountain biking, canoeing, hiking, arts and crafts, and more! For a week, it's just us and nature!
In order to make this possible for the families we serve, UniCamp volunteers each fundraise to help subsidize the cost of camp. This year, my goal is to fundraise at least $450, but even more is even better! Every donation is tax deductible, and every dollar goes directly into the programs and resources for the kids.
Thanks in advance for your generosity and for helping make camp possible for these kids. And, if this is truly to be the last official ride of Ninja Woodsey, lets send him off into the sunset with a bang!
Much Woodsey Love!
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
