“It takes a village to raise a child.” - This session will embrace the wisdom of this quote in order to create an empowering, culturally responsive learning environment for African American youth. This focus of this week of camp is to provide the campers with a safe space to discuss the issues facing their communities and encourage them to be agents of change down the mountain.

In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
