A Message From Jennifer "Lava" Chacon "Woodsey"

Hi everyone, it is that time of the year, I am preparing to start fundraising for the 2026 camp season with Session 5: Camp Bloom. I am an Old Woodsey (returning for my 2nd of camp), and cannot wait for another great adventure and bloom. I am returning back as a counselor or specialist but nevertheless ready to serve campers in their life long journey. At camp, campers learn about community and leadership. There are a multiple opportunities were campers learn about themselves and connect with nature. Through pool rotation, hikes, mountain biking, art, songs, and games. UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
