A Message From Nayeli Gallardo
Hi there! Thanks for visiting my page :)
Given that this is my 4th year volunteering with UCLA UniCamp, I think it's safe to say this organization has a special place in my heart. This summer, I will be serving as a Wilderness Adventures in Leadership and Learning (WALL) advisor for our older campers where I, along with my co-advisors, will lead our group on a 4-day backpacking trip through the San Bernardino mountains. Our goal: to reach the summit of the San Gorgonio Mountain (the tallest peak in SoCal!) while teaching our campers leadership skills they can take back home.
Apart from training with my session to prepare for our week up the mountain, we are also tasked with fundraising in order to subsidize the cost for our campers (backpacking equipment, food, etc.). As a WALL advisor, my goal is to raise $1,500 to ensure these kids receive an unforgettable summer camp experience. It would not be possible without your support. Any donation amount would be greatly appreciated, and will definitely go a long way (it is also tax-deductible!).

UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
