A Message From Brian "Grogu" Moreno-Alvarez
Hi there family and friends! My name is Brian "Grogu" Moreno-Alvarez and I am raising $1,000 to support UCLA UniCamp, an independently funded 501(c)3 designed to create and empower the leaders of tomorrow. This is my third year participating in this organization that has given me the ability to give back to my community & a chance to step outside of my comfort zone. I joined UCLA UniCamp back in 2021 because I was looking for a space on campus as a former undergraduate where I could belong, especially post COVID-19 and a transfer student from Mt. San Jacinto College. Being apart of this organization has changed my life forever and I owe it to my former mentors, peers, leadership, and those who believed in me, whom never doubted in my potential to be a role model. I'm ecstatic to announce that I will be returning to UCLA UniCamp this year as a Head Counselor for Session 1 (Camp Storyteller Academia) and the 2nd annual Community Volunteer Program (CVP), training more than 80 volunteers! With your generosity, I can sponsor a week of camp for under-served youth who come to this space to dream big, make new friendships, and tell their stories as a gift of life. Your donation can truly make a difference in the lives of our campers and I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you all for your time and interest!
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
