A Message From Wenting "Pooh Bear" Hu

Hi friends and family! I'm really excited to be volunteering as a camp counselor for UniCamp this summer. This is my last summer before heading off to medical school, and I want to spend part of it having fun outdoors with my campers and fellow Woodsies! The UniCamp session that I am a part of is focused on bringing foster youth from the greater Los Angeles area to Camp River Glen for a week of camp that they will never forget. I need your help to fundraise $500 to bring the kids to camp. The money will help subsidize the cost of camp for each child and help make camp more affordable. UniCamp provides children with the opportunity to escape city life and be exposed to another element that the world has to offer. Campers come back year after year excited to participate in this wonderful organization and I am really excited for what this summer has to offer. Thank you so much for donating!!! UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
