A Message From Ty-Yhana Young
Hello! My name is Ty "Kai" Young and I am a first-year student at UCLA from Compton, CA. From a young age I was taught to uplift my community at every possible chance. My current journey towards fulfilling this value is volunteering as a UniCamp Counselor this summer where I can provide my support and experience to a younger generation of underserved and underrepresented children.
With the help of some classic Woodsey fun, we give kids the chance to make friends, get to know themselves better, build confidence, and connect with nature in a safe and nurturing environment.
My goal of $450 helps minimize costs to keep this experience accessible to marginalized youth. Donations of any size are incredibly helpful and greatly appreciated and so is sharing the page! Thank you for taking the time to read this and please consider donating, Lots of Love!
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
