Hi everyone! This summer I will be the Session Program Director for Session 5 at UCLA’s UniCamp. UniCamp is a non profit, student run organization that provides a week long camping trip to children from low income communities in Los Angeles for a subsidized cost. The goal of Session 5 is to promote the importance of a positive self-concept to the campers to support their ability to become future leaders. We will provide campers with an environment that emphasizes and encourages diversity, mental health advocacy, and the importance of interpersonal relationships. Campers will leave their week of camp knowing that they each have the innate ability to achieve greatness and share that greatness with the universe. I will be setting a fundraising goal of $500. If anyone would like to donate anything it would be greatly appreciated! This organization is near and dear to my heart as it presents a fun and exciting opportunity to kids and families who often do not have the financial means to participate in similar programs.
