A Message From Maryrose "McFly" Marzan
Hi everyone!
I’m so stoked to be coming back to UniCamp for the third (and probably last) time! This non-profit organization will always have a special place in my heart as I’ve made lifetime memories with amazing people, connecting with one another out in nature! Most importantly, UniCamp continues to inspire people in giving back to the community, especially serving the underserved youth in the Los Angeles area. This year, I’m coming back as a backpacking specialist in an older camper program that is finally back after a 4-year hiatus called WALL (Wilderness Adventures in Leadership and Learning). It’s a specialized program in UniCamp where counselors, certified Wilderness First Responders, and high school campers will embark on a 26-mile hike in Mount San Gorgonio in the San Bernardino Wilderness for 4 days and 3 nights! It’s going to be an intense yet exciting experience! The goal of this fundraiser is to help offset the costs of camp for each camper such as supplying them with hiking backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, food, etc. I really appreciate you for your donations! Because of your help, these kids will have a summer they’ll never forget! Thank you so much!
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
