A Message From Trey 'Doug Dimmadome' Crossley
Hi friends! I'll be, alongside my amazing co Woody, directing the CLIMB program for UniCamp this year! This program is near and dear to my heart. Rock climbing is a lot of fun, don't get me wrong, but I think this program is about a whole lot more than that :) During their week of camp, campers learn to set goals, be confident in stepping outside of their comfort zone, and be ok with failing. A LOT. Climbing a 50 foot tower is SCARY. Holding someone else's life in your hands while belaying is SCARY. This program provides a no-judgement space for campers to tackle their fears head-on and hopefully come out of their week with a deeper sense of self-confidence and an understanding that they can accomplish any goal they set their sights on.
I think these are all INCREDIBLY USEFUL skills that these HS Students can take with them when they leave camp and apply to any undertaking they want to tackle. Hopefully, this mission resonates with you and hopefully if you're financially able, you'll donate some money to help keep this program running so that we can continue to provide this space for our campers.
Much Woodsey Love
