A Message From Kira McLean

Hi everyone! This summer I will be a camp counselor at UCLA’s UniCamp. UniCamp is a non profit, student run organization that provides a week long camping trip to children from low income communities in Los Angeles for a subsidized cost. In order to do such, each counselor is asked to fundraise $450. If anyone would like to donate anything it would be greatly appreciated! This organization is near and dear to my heart because it presents a fun and exciting opportunity to kids and families who often do not have the financial means to participate in similar programs. UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
