A Message From Christine Tran
Hello friends and family! It's my senior year and my last year that I will be a camp counselor for an organization that has captured my heart four years ago!! UniCamp, the official non-profit of UCLA, has been an amazing and transformative space for both the counselors and campers, where we bond, sing songs, and have fun!
This year, I am coming back as a rock climbing counselor, where I strive to teach the campers CORE LESSONS IN MIND AND BODY as they scale the mountains of Holcomb Valley! This is a specialized program for older campers where they can specialize in a specific skill (rock-climbing) and expand their leadership skills, because they'll be responsible for teaching the younger campers how to rock climb at the Alpine Tower!
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT PART: What makes UniCamp so special is that we serve underserved youths from the Los Angeles area, because everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status, deserves the opportunity to have a fun summer camp experience and explore the outdoors! And that's where I need your help: to lower the cost of barrier for these campers, it would mean so much if you can donate whatever amount you feel comfortable, to help provide the opportunity for a kid to go to camp! DON'T FORGET, IT'S TAX-DEDUCTIBLE!
MWL,
Lotus

UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
