A Message From Daniela Semerjian
Hi everyone! I am so happy to be involved with UCLA UniCamp again in my junior year. As a volunteer, I'm training over 100 hours during school in preparation to become a counselor to the underserved youth of Los Angeles at a week-long camp this coming summer.
I, along with 45 other UCLA student volunteers, will be training to serve as counselors to over 150 campers. We sing songs, play games and have traditional camp activities such as: swimming, archery, hiking, arts & crafts, mountain biking, nature, recreational games, drama, campfires and many more.
Part of my responsibility is to raise $450 to support the cost of sending a child to camp. This is where I need your help. I am asking your support, at whatever amount you feel comfortable, to help me reach my goal and to give a child the opportunity to experience what may be their first-ever experience of going to camp. Any amount at all will help so much.
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
