A Message From Hannah Chew

Hey everyone, Having been a counselor for UCLA UniCamp ever since my first year, I am always so grateful to have found a community dedicated towards serving underserved youth in the Los Angeles area. It has been one of the most special and rewarding experiences at UCLA, so I am super excited to go back up to Camp River Glen in Big Bear to be a counselor for AcademiCamp! This session’s goal is to instill love for learning and education in our campers. I recognize that many others do not have access to the same learning opportunities as I do, which is why I need your help in raising $450, the cost to send one student up to camp! UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
