A Message From Cookie Woodsey

Anyone who knows me knows that SUMMER CAMP has a very special place in my heart! There really is no place like summer camp, and every child should have the chance to experience that! ... and this summer I have the opportunity to serve in UCLA's official student-run charity, UniCamp!! UniCamp is a non-profit organization working to serve the under-serviced youth of Los Angeles through allowing kids a week-long summer camp experience (at almost NO COST to them)!! ✨ This year I have the opportunity to be on LSHIP!! Lship is our leadership team, and I'll be working all year to train 60+ volunteers about our target populations and how to be amazing counselors up at camp this year! As a leader, I want to lead by example and complete my fundraising super early this year. MY GOAL IS TO RAISE $450 BY EARLY JANUARY!! ✨ If you're willing/able to make a TAX-DEDUCTIBLE donation to this amazing cause, please do! UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
