A Message From Amy Huang

Hi everyone! This year I will be joining UniCamp at UCLA as a camp counselor for under-served youth especially for those who have or at risk for obesity and Type II diabetes in the Los Angeles Area. I hope to promote healthy lifestyles to the campers, teach them about the importance of a nutritious diet, and inspire to implement fitness into their daily lives after camp. This camp's initiative is close to my heart for I believe that health education is the best form of preventative care for our future generations. UniCamp is a non-profit organization so we need to fundraise $500 for the cost of bringing a child to camp. Your donation can possibly allow a child to have their first camp experience and having a positive lasting impact on their future lives. This camp's initiative is close to my heart for I believe that health education is the best form of preventative care for our future generations. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
