A Message From Halena Ngo
Hello, friends and family :)
I'm so excited to be volunteering with UniCamp again this year, after having the most heartwarming experience the first time around. This summer, I'll be participating in the AcademiCamp session, which is aiming to empower our campers through education with an added focus on mental wellness. It's a cause that means dearly to me, and I've been working hard with my session to provide our campers the best week of activities possible for their development!
Our week of camp is targeted toward students from under-served areas of Los Angeles, meaning that we'll be providing them with leadership-building activities that they normally may not have access to. On top of that, we want to reduce their financial burdens as much as possible-- which is why each volunteer is tasked to raise $450 to help lower the costs of camp for our kids. Any donation will help so much! I'll be sure to document my week of camp to show you just how much your contributions mean to the campers.
Let me know if you have any questions, and I want to thank you all again for reading :)

UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
