A Message From Fidel Burciaga

Hello!!! My name is Fidel Burciaga A.K.A. Blue Bear(camp name). Earlier this summer, I was a counselor for the Transitional Youth Empowerment session from June 21- 28. That session was dedicated toward Foster youth kids. That experience truly made me love being a camp counselor, so I am looking forward to doing it again by volunteering for the Outdoor Education(O.E.) session. This will take place in the San Bernardino mountains at Camp River Glen. I personally have to fundraise $225 in order to be a counselor. This money will go toward food, water, and transportation necessary to bring a kid up to camp for the week. It will also lower the cost necessary for them to attend.

UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
